Pedigree Chum Top Puppy CC & Best Puppy Richmond ~ Tony Rewston.
'Cooke's Turlum True Potential at Tantallon, having myself experienced the difficulty of rearing a huge dog puppy like this one, I was amazed at the substance & maturity of this fawn, who was just 12 months on the day.
He is big but well balanced, head classically proportioned & well defined with a clean neck to match. Body is powerful with plenty of rib, depth of chest & sound top line, his straight well boned front is complemented by a muscular rear that has an excellent turn of stifle.
The whole presented a very impressive picture, action sound if a little loose at the moment, but drives well & will tighten up as he continues to develop. In short I simply loved him, have voiced the opinion in the past that to give the CC to a giant breed puppy must be a terrible indictment to the state of the breed & it would have to be something very special for me to even consider doing so, well I thought him very special & that's exactly what I did. Because of his age & the implications of doing so, I gave it a great deal of thought but reasoned that if he was presented to me in 12 months time looking as he did today , or I had been unaware of his age I would not have had any hesitation. I therefore awarded him the CC & best puppy over his litter sister.
